While I am up on an opposite sleep schedule I want to take the time to say that I enjoyed working with, learning from, and teaching others in this industry since 2003/2005. So many levels to this. I made sure to invest in myself, my skill-set, and my craftsmanship and artistry my whole life. I only respect others who know the grind, and have shed blood sweat and tears for what they believe in. I don’t congratulate lazy or self proclaimed people, never fuel that mess!. I was injured about four years ago and underwent 3 surgeries and countless procedures. Prior to that, I had other health scares and issues that required surgery or medical care. I have always worked through everything, and gone above and beyond for others as well as my own passions. Never asking for anything in return. I believe in the culture of art, music, entertainment, and film. most importantly I believe in myself. I live every day as productively as possible, so when I have an opportunity I TAKE IT. When I was bed bound for a few years and in doctors 24/7 I had to make a decision. Do I let this conquer my life? Do I let depression and anger over situations I cannot control ruin everything I worked so hard for? NO. I chose to focus on better health, and managing my pain and obligations and begin re-creating my path again. Just because I haven’t been VISUALLY SEEN doesn’t mean that I ever stopped living for my dreams and those I love.

If you have ever had a time where you thought the world was crushing you, and you felt cornered or wanted to give up but didn’t…I want to hear from you. I want to begin having these conversations. I need to speak to the people who need to be uplifted, or can possibly enlighten and uplift others. I want to help you share your testimonial.

This is my testimonial, and this is the bare minimum of everything I went through and am still going through.

I love everyone who loves me, and I support you!. If you have a goal, it is best to make plans to achieve it. Don’t ignore what your heart is screaming for! – Jackie also known as Mivida JDM

ELIZABETH TAYLOR REMEMBERED

Posted: March 24, 2011 by JDM aka JACKIE SPEAKS in ACTORS, HOLLYWOOD ICONS, JACKIESPEAKS247 BLOG, life and death, MODELS

The whole point is that writing has a pattern and life hasn’t. Life is so untidy. Art is so short and life so long. It is not possible to have perfection in life but it is possible to have perfection in a novel.’- Elizabeth Taylor

R.I.P. Elizabeth Taylor February 27, 1932 – March 23, 2011

Elizabeth Taylor passed away at 79 years old of congestive heart failure. She is a mega star to me and always will be one of many inspirational women in this industry. Her life was a little bit “out there” but I believe she led an honest and adventurous life and no one should judge her. She married and re-married many a time and had her self in the scrutiny of public eye because of her celebrity relationships. She was known for her beauty as a model and her character as an actress from her childhood to adult years.  She was an author as well writing children’s books and books about her perceptions in life. The style of jewelry she wore from the pear shaped diamond to the extravagant head pieces made a wave in the fashion circuit. Her fragrance line became the favorite for many  women. She was an outspoken female who stood up for what others were too scared to believe in. Instead of throwing negative perceptions of a legend around people should take the time to learn what she went through and who she really was. She was truly an icon in Hollywood. My next photo shoot will be dedicated to Elizabeth Taylor. We are all human, and Elizabeth Taylor was as real as they come.

“Jackie Heard What!?”

Some industry Gossip and News!

by Jackie da Model

jackiedamodel@gmail.com

In the latest lawsuits for “Its not yours its mine!” debates, and temper tantrums from hollywood:

Hip-hop star Pharrell Williams is battling an Italian fashion firm over his Ice Cream clothing line. He’s suing the Gilmar Group for blocking a trademark application on his brand name on grounds that it’s too similar to Gilmar’s Ice and Iceberg labels. The acclaimed music producer claims that adding the word “cream” — street slang for money — “creates a vastly different sound, appearance, meaning and overall commercial impression.” (AP)

Madonna and daughter Lourdes are being sued for her new “Material Girl” fashion line for teenagers by a California clothing company that says it has been using the name since 1997. They don’t want Madonna selling in same retail outlets nor at similar prices they wined about it not being fair! They told the judge they want her to fork over all teh profits asap! (Can you believe that..WTH!) Madonna teamed up with 13-year-old daughter Lourdes to design the 1980s-inspired line, which came from the pop star’s punk-girl style when she rose to fame and recorded the 1985 hit “Material Girl.” If anyone should have the name branded I think she should, hey Madonna.. just buy them out boo!

Taylor Lautner The “Twilight” teen actor is claiming “emotional distress,” fraud and “annoyance” after a $300,000 trailer he ordered to use while shooting a new movie failed to arrive on time. Lautner, 18, is seeking unspecified damages for the no-show vehicle, which was reportedly promised to him by June 21. Apparently, the trailer wasn’t “tricked out” to Lautner’s liking nor was it delivered on time. The RV was to be used while the actor filmed the movie “Abduction,” which co-stars Sigourney Weaver and Alfred Molina. (VIA AP)

CMON!!!!! This kid has more money than any 18 year old I know, is he really serious?… If I sued people every time they annoyed me I would be labeled Jackie the B*tch! I am envisioning a bunch of people attempting lawsuits over losing a game of checkers, hearing a baby crying or dog barking from neighbors house, and or having to work with an ugly co worker typical ANNOYANCE! HA..good luck sharkboy aka werewolf..
Celeb Suicide Attempts/Scares back to back!! :
Fantasia Barrino attempted suicide and said it was NOT an accident, after trying to overdose herself on August 9th with a bottle of aspirin she stated: “I was tired of people doing me wrong, constantly, over and over again, dealing with my family — my father, dealing with men and their [expletive] — I was tired,” she said. “My head was hurting me. I was over it.”

Timbaland scared the hell out of his family and fans! He text a family member while he was driving and said he was by a cliff and “tired of the stress”. He later called up Ryan Seacrest’s radio show and said he was not suicidal….wheeewwwwwww… stick around Tim we need you here in the music world!

GOSSIP!!:

Kimora Lee Simmons

Just days after Kimora released a statement saying she was moving on from Baby Phat, new reports have surfaced saying she was actually FIRED! Kimora Lee Simmons was “unceremoniously dumped” from Baby Phat, sources close to the ex-model said of her abrupt exit from the clothing company she founded with ex-husband Russell Simmons. Sources said Simmons is mulling a possible lawsuit against owner Kellwood. “She was blindsided that Kellwood fired everyone,” said one. But another Baby Phat insider it could have been a way to slash costs: “Kimora was going over-budget. She’d pay herself a fee to be in the ads, plus she paid her children fees to appear in ads. It costs thousands of dollars to airbrush her because she’s a size 10. Plus, they spent a ton of money on body doubles. They would shoot another model in the clothes, and take Kimora’s head and put in on her body.” Kellwood had no comment.
(written article via AP)

My take on this?.. She chose to leave because she knew there was trouble ahead you cant blame her, whether she was alledgedly fired or quit it was for the best because there are obviously some issues behind the scenes at that company. As for her children and herself.. they modeled for Baby Phat case closed. Whether pictures were shopped up to perfection or not they were still considered employees / models. I dont think anyone works for free, I believe that term is called VOLUNTEER work! So off to better endeavors! Go Kimora.. show us what you can do and gain americas hearts again.

Heidi Montag: Old news but reader worthy the famous Nip & Tuck Surgeon Dr. Frank Ryan passed away Aug 18th while tweeting and driving. He would have been the one his client Heidi Montag would run to for this new plan! She stated yesterday how she wished she hadn’t done so many surgeries. She said that her surgeries are part of what ruined her and Spencer Pratt’s marriage because he always had to take care of her and aside from that she looked horrible after going under the knife so much. She wants a breast reduction at this time and is considering going down to a semi normal size to balance out her body, after all big breasts come with drama! (I SHOULD KNOW)..back pain, oggling, custom clothes etc.. “My Boobs are crushing me” she told Life & Style. This woman went thru over 10 hours of surgery for perfection, and almost died from a Demerol OD during recovery. Demerol=Meperidine is used to relieve moderate to severe pain, it is in a class of medications called narcotic analgesics. A group of pain medications similar to morphine. At this time she doesn’t want to be in the lime light as a celebrity she said shed like to just “get out of Hollywood” and that she really doesn’t have any friends or family back home, its time for this chic to go on hiatus.. She also said she wont get anything done again, at least not for a long time.

Nicki Minaj: being compared to Lauren Hill (as a female emcee that sings and raps), Lil Kim and Foxy Brown (attitude, wigs, lyrical genre and carribean twists).. Who’s next?.. I think she has a little bit of every influence but at the end of the day she is Nicki Minaj and she is on the rise so let the girl rock!

Miss Universe / Jimena Navarrete: You can look but you can’t touch! She has a man so back up!!!! What did you think a strong, smart Latina like her wouldn’t be snatched up!? Think again fellas 🙂
Shakira: Is on thin ice for being a latin diva in the streets of Barcelona, she rode a motocycle without a helmet, danced in a public fountain and disrupted traffic while filming for her new video.

MUSIC TIME!!!!

TOP 10 Songs on Latin Billboard:
1. “Yerbatero” -Juanes

2. “Dime que me quieres” -Banda El Recodo

3. “Cuando me Enamoro” -Enrique Iglesias ft Juan Luis Guerra

4. “Alejate de Mi” -Camila

5. “El Malo” -Aventura

6. “Al Menos” -Original Banda el Limon de Salvador Lizarraga

For My Mother Open Mic 2005

Posted: August 12, 2010 by JDM aka JACKIE SPEAKS in JACKIESPEAKS247 BLOG, life and death, open mic

In just 2 days I lost my sanity

The mind behind my heart was on it’s last thought.

The heart that saved me on it’s last beat.

Reality sets in based on what I had to see

I was cool until the call on my cell

The call that set off the last nerve I had

I couldn’t react

I jumped in a cab quick fast

Dropped off my niece, got up wit my sisters and did the dash

I cant take this sh!t

Watchin my mother suffer for strength

Hooked up to machines, pumpin her wit medicine

Tryina get her to blink

Attached to her bedside for hours

Her body shuttin down slowly

It was sudden like the collapse of the towers

In a coma but she still heard me

She rubbed my hand and squeezed tight

While I begged her to put up a fight

My sisters lookin out takin turns checkin

Vitals only got worse every split second

Waitin room looked like a slap in the face

You know it’s over when there’s no seats in the place

Front to back family and friends reminiscin to stay up

My eyes bloodshot red I’m on the verge of throwin up

They forced me to leave, go home and get sleep

I agreed cuz my body was gettin too weak

I told my sister I’d be back in a few and off I went to I.C.U.

To say goodnight to my mother, only to find my aunt beside her

Shes gone now, nothing can be done to revive her.

I burst out in tears as I watched them pray.

I still stand in denial to this day.

To me she’s some where Im not.

Ill be there before I know it..it’s life’s little plot.

We were all born to live life and then slowly get got.

* Value the ones U love b4 its too late thats the lesson I learned from what life put on my plate.- BABY J*-
